Park Guell

The first stop on our itinerary was to Park Guell. It is famous for the gingerbread houses and mosaic tiles designed by Antoni Gaudi.

The park was just a short cab ride from our hotel. There is a steep hill you have to walk up, so we were thankful we were dropped off near the top. There are parts of the park you can walk around for free, but to see the famous mosaics you have to purchase tickets. The tickets are for a specific time to enter to help with large crowds.

I would say to really enjoy the park to allot at least 2 hours.  When we saw all we wanted to see,  we walked down the hill towards La Sagrada Familia.
