Stepping out of our car, we inhaled the freshest of air at Muir Woods. Seriously, you just want to bottle up the smell and take it with you. The redwood forest was spectacular to see in person. Pictures just don’t do the trees justice with just how tall they really are. By the time we got to Muir Woods, unfortunately we did not have a lot of time to spend hiking or exploring, but a simple walk through was just enough for me.
I read parking can be rather difficult and there is a bus that can take you from a remote parking lot close by. We tried to wait for the bus, but decided to drive ourselves. Being later in the day, we lucked out with a parking spot. Beware there are very windy roads that lead you to the park.
